Toca Wins Coveted Best of Show Award
At Winter NAMM
February 10, 2007
Given that close to a hundred thousand people are vying for attention
at Winter NAMM in Anaheim, it's a major coup to entice people to gather
at your booth. And when, from among hundreds of thousands of products,
a special NAMM jury selects one of yours for a special merit award, well
that's a special accomplishment.
That is precisely what happened at the Toca Percussion Booth. It was
a busy place in January, part of the bustle attributable to the extensive,
colorful conga display and vast array of percussion. But on closing Sunday,
NAMM University examiners were able to zero in on one particular product
series, Toca Synergy Freestyle
Djembes and Doumbeks. They presented the
Synergy hand drums with the Best of Show Award in the category "Gotta
Stock It".
Toca Freestyle Djembes and Doumbeks are portable, durable drums that
can be easily grasped and played by children, and enjoyed by hobbyists
and other percussion aficionados. Finishes are eye-catching, construction
materials are premium, the design is impeccable, and the frequency range
is unbelievable in such modest units.
Victor Filonovich, Toca Product Manager, was ecstatic. "It's been
an exciting challenge building the Toca brand and stressing its uniqueness," remarked
Victor. "And that uniqueness, that ability to stand proud from the
rest, is precisely what the NAMM team recognized in our Toca Synergy
hand drums. I'm grateful to NAMM for recognizing our efforts and I pledge
to continue to grow the Toca brand."
Congratulations to Toca Percussion and to the handful of others companies
who won a Best of Show in their respective categories.
