Toca Makes a Great Showing at NAMM 2009
Once
again, Toca
Percussion featured a stand-out product line at this year's
NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. Countless numbers
of Toca artists, as well as percussion aficionados who wanted
to check out the hot new Toca
products, came to the booth. Some
artists, such as Jamal
Mohamed, performed daily
at the show on Toca drums. Jamal's demonstration of the various
techniques on Freestyle djembes was
definitely popular. Fellow artist Nina
Rodriguez answered product questions and demonstrated various Toca
instruments in
the booth as well.
Sheila E., Pete
Escovedo, Peter Michael
Escovedo and Juan Escovedo signed autographs and performed at Fender's
Spirit of Rock 'n Roll Theater to an enthusiastic crowd. And Eric
Velez proudly demonstrated
his playing style on his new Toca
Signature Series Congas and Bongos,
which made their debut at this year's show.
Other respected Toca artists who stopped by and created a sense of
family in the Toca booth included: Ernie Becquer, Christina Torres,
Charlie Chavez, Javier Navarette, Juan Karlos, Terry
Santiel, Forrest
Robinson, Hannah Ford, Romeo and
Ricky Carrido, Kalani, Ndugu
Chancler,

Kilgore, Jerry Steinholtz,
