Kudos from Kaman at 5th Artist Appreciation Party

Kaman
Music Corp. (KMC) has made it a habit of showing appreciation to the many
artists who play Toca, LP, Gibraltar and Gretsch. This year on February
23, 2008, Kaman once again expressed its gratitude at the Kaman Fifth Annual
Artist Appreciation Party held at Center Staging Musical Productions and
Rehearsal Space in Burbank, California.
The downbeat came at dusk from a house band comprised of Toca
artists Steve Haney, Ernie Becquer and Charlie Chavez, each ramping
up the intensity during rousing Latin jazz choruses. Once they
had established a festive mood, it was open season for jamming.
Among those sitting in were KMC brand artists Kevin Ricard, Forrest
Robinson, Luis Conte and Christina Torres, to name a few.
Over one hundred revelers networked with friends and colleagues
while mingling with Kaman personnel. All shared ideas with the
creme de la creme of the LA scene, and artists spotted at the event
included Sheila E., Pete Escovedo, Richie "Gajate" Garcia,
Mike Bennett, Slim Jim Phantom, Rafael Padilla, Debra Dobkin, Ndugu
Chancler, Tris Imboden, Clayton Cameron and Gabe Falcon. Each artist
proudly flies one or more banners from Toca, LP, Gibraltar and
Gretsch.
The band played late into the evening, and door prizes were awarded
to attendees. The interaction was warm, the vibe jovial. When morning
light came over the hills and into the valley, one thing was abundantly
clear: Kaman knows how to throw a party!
