Michael Wimberly: Introduction to Djembe Tuning

Michael Wimberly is a drummer, percussionist, and composer. Michael holds a masters degree from the Manhattan School of Music and is a faculty member of the Drummer's Collective in NYC. Wimberly's recording and performance credits include such notable artists as George Clinton, Steve Coleman, Mama Tongue, Charles Gayle and many more.

In this lesson, Michael explains the basics of tuning djembe. He also demonstrates how-to add and adjust tension to the ropes within a djembe structure.
