Danny Diaz is a student of David
"La Mole" Ortiz. Versed in Afro-Cuban
percussion he brings a modern slant to his instrument. Diaz has appeared
in numerous festivals and clinics in Puerto Rico, and the southern United
States specializing in Afro-Cuban percussion.
Jafet Murguia studied with
Tony Sanchez and David "La
Mole" Ortiz before enrolling at the Inter-American Popular
Music School in Cupey, a suburb of San Juan. In addition, he is a member
of the band San Juan Habana, which is directed by acclaimed arranger
and composer Juan Jose Lande (of El Gran Combo fame).
