Yeismel Grandal was born on November 27 in the city of Havana, Cuba. At the age of 10 he began his musical studies with several professors, among them José Luis Quintana (Changuito). From a very early age he joined several youth groups as a drummer and percussionist.

In 2000 he settled in Mexico where he had the opportunity to work with Alex Ubago, Alexander Acha, Emmanuel, HaAsh, Alquimia, Oscar de León, Jorge Villamizar among others. Along with his career as an instrumentalist, he was teaching and directing for 7 years the Degree of Percussion and Drums at the GMartell University in Mexico City, until he decided to found his own Grandal Institution of Music in 2012.

Three years later He traveled to the city of Miami where he currently resides, working with artists such as Gilberto Santa Rosa, Willy Chirino, Emily Estefan, Gloria Estefan, as well as in various musical productions by Emilio Estefan.

He holds a degree from Trinity College London and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. He is an exclusive artist of TRX Cymbals, Toca Percussion, Aquarian Drumheads, Montano Drumsticks and the Director and Co-founder of FA Worship Institute.
