After that he spent seven years in Spain, pursuing his musical career performing with multiple bands in tours around Europe. After Spain he moved to Houston, TX in 2011 and is currently a student at Texas State University (TSU), pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Jazz Performance and is one of the members of the TCU Jazz ensemble.

Rhumer has used his wide variety of percussion skills with a large number of groups across many genres of music including rock, pop, jazz, latin, salsa and even Venezuelan Folk! He has performed with a wide array of artists such as Cano Estremera, Roberto Blades, Willie Gonzalez, Pedro Arroyo, Luisito Carrion, Hector Tricoche, Osvaldo Roman, Tito Allen, Larry Harlow, Frankie Vazquez, Jimmy Bosch, Manolo Mairena, Tito Nieves, La India, Jose "El Canario" Alberto, Grupo Mania and he has accompanied Gilberto Santa Rosa on his two latest tours across Europe and performed with Jerry Rivera during his Texas dates.
