Jill Sager
Classically trained on piano, Jill Sager studied music theory and voice at LaGuardia High School of Music and Art, in New York City. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy and discovered a passion for conga drums that led to study in Cuba and a California/NW Tour including performances at Vancouver Folk Festival.
Jill is founder of "Hands On Rhythm and Drum School" in Eugene Oregon. Recognized as an educator, she's given hundreds of workshops and clinics, with appearances at The University of Oregon, The National Recreation and Parks Association Conference, Portland Schools, Oregon Music Educators Conference, and The National Institute on Inclusion Conference.
Jill works as an independent consultant enabling organizations to partake in the benefits of hand drumming year-round. She oversees the purchase of drums and trains staff and employees on their use. Her client list includes The Pearl Buck Center, Portland Recreation Department, and the City of Eugene's Recreation Services.
