Dori Staehle
Ever since she was a little girl, Dori Staehle wanted to play drums. It wasn’t until she was 47 that she finally got the chance. She started playing percussion with a rockin’ church band and played with them for 13 years. She's now at Evangel Church in Fuquay-Varina, NC and has a drum ministry there.
Dori is a certified drum therapist, percussionist, mentor, and motivational speaker, and owns Next Stage Drumming. She plays Toca bongos, congas, timbales, djembes, and the full drum kit. She has played percussion with local bands and international artists.
After realizing that drumming helps reduce anxiety, stress, and a host of other issues, Dori created her own drumming techniques that have produced amazing results! In addition to working with private clients, Dori also offers customized programs for special needs, seniors, and corporate wellness, and sprinkles in some popular tunes that fit the age group or the theme of the program. Dori has specialized training from Health Rhythms and Drums and Disabilities and is currently offering virtual drum ministry training for non-profits, including those who work with victims of human trafficking.
Dori’s personal story of healing through drumming and bouncing back became the basis of her best-selling book, Find Your Divine Rhythm: A Creative’s Success Formula. Her second book, Rise Up & Rock: Activating Your God-Given Purpose is on Amazon as well.
