Christina Torres , The Mike Torres Band

Born and raised in Northern California, Christina Torres has lived and breathed music from day one. She joined her family’s three-generation musical dynasty, The Mike Torres Band, at the age seven. She proudly continues to share the stage with them today. Christina serves as the female lead vocalist and is skilled in drums, timbales, congas and bongo. Christina also freelances with various bands throughout California.

Through the years, Christina has and toured the United States extensively, and she has had the great fortune of sharing the stage with artists such as the Escovedo Family, Tierra, El Chicano, War, Malo, Jorge Santana, Sapo, Freddy Fender, Los Lobos, El Debarge, Teena Marie and the Gap Band, as well as numerous Latin international artists including Sonora Dinamita, Sonora Santanera and Little Joe y La Familia to name a few.    

Christina is known for her versatility and skill in both American and Latin styles. Her ability to rock the front of the stage, while simultaneously serving as lead vocalist and primary percussionist makes her a rare commodity.  

Aside from her musical abilities, Christina is also an academician who holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of San Francisco and a Master's Degree from National University.
